After making the heartbreaking decision to postpone Fiesta on George last week, Cityprom executive officer Vanessa Cahoon says it could have been a blessing in disguise with a forecast of 20 degrees.

The George Street party will offer a range of food, wine, cider, arts and entertainment options from noon to 9pm on Saturday in Launceston’s CBD.
“Although we lost some of our performers due to the date change, we’ve managed to still keep an exceptional program in place including rovers, music workshops, craft activities, and 3D demonstrations courtesy of Bitlink,” she said.
“The vintage market is new to Fiesta this year and is a must visit for any vintage clothing.”
Alchemy Bar and Restaurant duty manager Maddi Hall said Fiesta on George was the biggest event in the businesses calendar.
“We've got an Alchemy marquee and a Peroni marquee, we’re doing barbecues at each marquee and we have a couple of drinks specials on tap ... and our normal menu running inside,” she said.
