A massive field of 14 entries will contest the Sprintcar Stampede. There is still some fierce rivalry between several competitors from last season and during pre-season practice so expect to see plenty of wheel-to-wheel excitement from the winged warriors.

All entries are top line drivers and picking a winner will be very difficult. Jason and Adrian Redpath have always excelled at this track as has Callum Zizak, Kurt Luttrell, Curt Smith and Jason Dawkins to name a few.

Keeping the open-wheel theme alive will be Speedcars, and although new to the state, this will be a class that continues to grow. They are quick and exciting cars and are bound to create plenty of interest in their first race here.

Formula 500s are always fast around the wide open spaces at this track, and Marcus Kelly will be one to watch. Keeping him firmly in their sights will be James Amicosante and last-start-winner Dylan Beveridge.

Juniors Sedans have a solid entry list, and joining them for his first race of the season will be Jakobe Jetson. Joe Dickerson battled Ellis Dickenson last meeting and they are keen to keep Jetson at bay.

There’s a good field of Tassie Sixes, and leading the charge will be Cameron Briggs from who dials his car in superbly for the Solo Speedway.

Peter Johnston and Drew Manser will certainly challenge him.

The hard-hitting Bombers will no doubt keep the crowd entertained with their brutal brand of racing. Look for plenty of panel rubbing as drivers push to get to the front.

Speedkarts will get the racing underway, and they are always great to watch.

It’s the only category of racing where you can actually see the driver hard at work on the wheel and pedals.

Gates open at 3pm, Speedkarts from 4pm and main track action starts from 6pm
