In the operation police detected three allegedly unregistered motorcycles and one allegedly suspended rider.
Acting Inspector Martin Parker of Devonport Police said Tasmania Police are “committed to disrupting the criminal activities” of outlaw motorcycle gangs [OMCG], including the “detection of traffic offences”.
“The community can be assured that Tasmania Police will continue to closely monitor OMCG members’ activities and movements,” Acting Inspector Parker said.
“OMCGs will find Tasmania is not receptive to them.”
Tasmania Police also conducted oral fluid tests on members of the Rebels OMCG, to which they are awaiting final analytical results.
The operation was carried out by officers from Western Road and Public Order Services [RPOS], Devonport Uniform, Western Criminal Investigation Branch, Western Drug Investigation Service and Western Forensic services.
