It might not always be stable work, but Sydney chalk artist Anton Pulvirenti says he enjoys travelling across the country, recently visiting Launceston to sketch a fun image promoting this year’s Fiesta on George.

Mr Pulvirenti has also drawn another picture depicting a cat playing an electric guitar, positioned opposite his fiesta sketch in the centre of the Brisbane Street Mall.
“I’m made the blue bird singing multi-coloured notes (for fiesta), and then the notes around surrounding some 3D text telling you when the festival is on,” Mr Pulvirenti said.
“I’m inspired by images that are bright and colourful and enable the public to interact with them, usually something fun, and also you’re working with people of all ages so it can’t be too depressing or serious.”
Fiesta On George is a celebration of the city’s food, culture and musical talent, with up to 44 businesses participating.
It runs from midday to 9pm on Saturday, October 29 in George Street, Launceston.
