In a game in which ball dominated bat, the Shamrocks made 8-125 off their 47 overs after the match was half an hour late starting due to wet conditions.
Nathan Parkin top scored with 39 not out batting at No.8, rescuing the innings when Westbury were in trouble at 7-68 and adding valuable late runs to give them a total to defend.
Luke Badham was the pick of the Lions bowlers taking 3-24 off his 10 overs.
Launceston’s young batting line-up found the going tough in their run chase as they slumped to 7-29 and were eventually dismissed for 54 off 24.5 overs.
Shamrocks opening bowlers Jacob Kooran (3-14) and Matthew Battle (1-10) kept the pressure on the Lions top order and took early wickets with Joey Cullen coming on as first change and snaring 5-19 from 4.5 overs.
Dom Rawling was the only Launceston batsman to reach double figures top scoring with 13 at No.9.
“Happy to get a win but the way we went about our batting was a backward step to last week and we fell back into old habits which was a bit disappointing,” Westbury captain Michael Lukic said.
“We were glad Jakie Kooran at the top and Matthew Battle did a terrific job with the ball and then Joey Cullen came on and took five for and made 120 defendable.”
Devonport recorded a big 104-run win over Sheffield making 8-199 and dismissing the Mountaineers for 95 off 42.2 overs.
Brent Mullet top scored with 48 with Sheffield captain Gary Miles the best of their bowlers picking up 3-26 from ten overs.
Sam Fogg (4-7) and Anish Paraam (2-26) ripped through the Sheffield top order with Curt Woolley and Andrew Lockett top scoring with 24.
Burnie handed Ulverstone a 77-run defeat scoring 9-192 and dismissing the Black Caps for 115 in 33.5 overs. Burnie opener Brodie Hayes top scored with 89. The Black Caps batsmen failed to fire with Tyler Johns the best of the Burnie bowlers taking 3-18.
Wynyard grabbed their first GNC win beating Latrobe by four wickets. After dismissing the Demons for 127 off 45 overs the Blues finished at 6-129, off 48.3 overs. Callan Morse top scored for Latrobe with 47 while Ben Hopkins (UK Import) was Wynyard’s best with 34.
