The Newstead fundraiser was one of nearly 400 Tasmanian sales listed for this year’s Garage Sale Trail, which attracted 15,000 sales across the country.
Sale organiser Samantha Webber said while she suspected the weather had kept some shoppers away, club members were hoping the day’s profit would come close to the target of $1000.
“It's all been donated by friends and family of the club so we've had people from the club all day coming to help out and we've sold quite a bit,” Ms Webber said.
“The funds are used to help kids participate in things that are out of the ordinary for the club, like relays or for when they travel.”
The club will hold a second sale at 8 Junction Street, Newstead on October 29.
