The father-son team have already kayaked down Tasmania’s East Coast and walked the Overland Track, but two more challenges lie ahead of them this year.
Ten-year-old Jack lives with cerebral palsy spastic quadriplegia, but he really knows how to get the most out of life.
On October 29, Mr Duffy and Jack will take part in the Mount Barrow Challenge.
Jack will sit in a chair while his father pushes him up the 14-kilometre climb, but this is just training for their Point to Pinnacle run in November.
Event organiser Meg Culhane announced this week that all money raised at the event will go back to St Giles.
“I think St Giles always has such a far-reaching effect on so many sectors of the community,” Mrs Culhane said.
Mr Duffy said he was looking forward to taking on the challenge.
“Jack’s an amazing little man who motivates people to get out there and try something different,” he said.
