Tasmania Police is investigating an armed robbery at ChemMart Pharmacy in Sandy Bay on Wednesday.

It is alleged a man entered the pharmacy armed with a knife and demanded drugs from staff.
The man is described as being about 170cm tall, a thin build, gaunt facial features, brown eyes, dark hair and a dark brown/black goatee.
He was wearing a purple beanie, grey hoodie and dark jeans.
The man fled the pharmacy on foot with a small amount of medication.
Nobody was injured during the incident.
