The Launceston band, featuring Hamish Geale, Brent Jacobson, Robert O'Brien and Ryan Goodger, has been working hard over the past year to release a new single, a self-titled EP, and a film clip.
The band has been working together for more than four years and has developed its own brand of comedy, rock and acoustic music along the way.
Their funny, witty lyrics are a standout of the album, commenting on everything from their own success as a band, playing at the MCG and everyone’s favourite Australian sporting star, Ellyse Perry.
This year, the band was approached by Australian promotional company, The A&R Department – a big step for the group.
Jacobson said the band was especially interested in lyrics, so it was usually those that were written before anything else.
“Usually one of us comes to the band room with a bit of an idea and we sit in a circle and throw ideas around and write a song together,” Jacobson said.
O'Brien said it was a good feeling to have the EP out after many years of writing songs together.
“It’s nice that there’s a bit of recognition because that’s been the hardest thing for so long,” O’Brien said.
