About 12.40pm on Saturday, a teenage male motorcyclist died following a crash on Dawkins Road at Lower Beulah in the state’s North-West. 

A rescue helicopter was sent to the area where the man was in a critical condition, but he died at the scene. 

Earlier on Saturday, a 16-year-old male driver was travelling along Baskerville Road at Gagebrook in the state’s South about 2am when the Holden Barina he was driving left the road, rolled several times and stopped several metres away.

Four other youths and a 19-year-old male were in the vehicle at the time. 

Tasmania Police said they believed a number of the passengers were not wearing seatbelts and are investigating whether speed and alcohol were contributing factors. 

All six occupants were transported to the Royal Hobart Hospital.

Just three hours earlier, about 11pm on Friday, a 48-year-old male motorcyclist from Bridgewater died in a head-on collision.

The rider of the Harley-Davidson motorcycle was travelling along the Brooker Highway when he collided with a Toyota Corolla allegedly driving in a southerly direction in a north-bound lane, according to police.

The 36-year-old female driver of the car, from Rosetta, was taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital with minor injuries.

On Friday, a motorcyclist was killed in a crash on the Bass Highway at Elizabeth Town about 9.30am. 

The 59-year-old Victorian man had just arrived off the Spirit of Tasmania and was on a national run with the Outlaws Motorcycle Club.

Two other riders were taken to Launceston General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Central West Division Senior Sergeant Debbie Williams pleaded with motorists to remain alert at all times.

“These tragic deaths will have profound impacts upon the family, friends and community circles of each rider,” Sergeant Williams said.
