A range of events will be held in the George Town municipality in the month of November and December, recognising the founders of George Town who discovered the area during these months.
George Town and District Historical Society secretary Lorraine Wootton said the Founders Festival would also act as an open day for community groups.
Ms Wootton said the calendar for the events would be submitted in the next week or so. Groups may still be able to hold events by contacting Tamar FM: 6382 3953.
