Enterprize – Tasmania’s Start-up Space, will operate out of a pop-up space on Paterson Street but it will eventually move to Macquarie House.
President of Startup Tasmania James Riggall said it was a space people could come visit to learn about building a high growth business.
“There’ll be desk space available, there will be lots of events, there will be ways for people to access mentors and support, but it’s all about building global products and global companies from Tasmania,” he said.
“The reason to start this project in advance of Macquarie House, which is still about a year away, is basically to start building community and capacity in Tasmania as soon as we can.”
Mr Riggall said he hoped Enterprize would become a long-term part of Tasmania’s start-up ecosystem.
