Arthur guided Tassie Tigers to a 4-nil victory over Pool A opponents SA Hotshots on day one of the 10-day championship in Perth, Western Australia.
The Queechy product’s three goals came via a penalty corner and two penalty strokes, while Kookaburra squad member Eddie Ockenden scored the final goal for Tasmania.
In other results, the Tasmanian women’s team, Van Demons, went down 2-nil to Queensland Scorchers.
The state’s under-13 boys and girls are winless after two games.
Both junior outfits have fallen to South Australia and Victoria Blue.
Taking part in the tournament are 10 women’s teams and 12 men’s teams from Australian states and territories, New Zealand, India and Malaysia.
The event wraps up on October 9.
