About midnight, police found two men in a car at Launceston’s Kmart and Coles complex carpark.
It alleged that inside the car was a loaded gun, a “dangerous article” and drugs.
Further investigations were carried out at several properties, where police allegedly recovered six stolen guns, a large amount of ammunition, cash, and drugs, including cannabis, methamphetamine and steroids, which a total street value of up to $15,000.
A 43-year-old man was charged with possessing a dangerous article.
A 27-year-old was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, dealing with the proceeds of crime, numerous firearm offences, disqualified driving, and possession of stolen property.
Both men will appear in court on November 9.
