The Mental Health Council of Tasmania executive officer Connie Digolis said this year’s theme was Mental Health Begins with Me.
”We are saying everyone can own this, it can be about what you can do as an individual to improve your mental health or it could be about what you could look out for in your family,” she said.
On of the activities being held over the week will be the Lifting the Lid Q&A-style panel at the Tramsheds on October 10 at 7pm. Entry to the event is free and people are welcomed to submit questions to the Lifting the Lid Facebook page.
Lisa King, 2015 Tasmanian mother of the year winner, has chosen to be involved in the panel to help share her experience with depression.
