Wrapping paper, cardboard cut-outs and glue sticks were scattered across the library floor as children and their families were set the challenge of designing miniature houses, complete with wallpaper, stairs and furniture.
Max Satel, 8, and his brother Harry, 5, are only new to Tasmania and chose the activity for some summer holiday fun.
“I like making the cardboard house but it’s a bit tricky,” Max said.
“I’m going to put in a couch, a stairway and maybe a pet like a dog or a fish.”
LINC’s Alice Imlach said it was good to see so many children coming together for the creative activity.
“It’s all about creating a fun activity for people and getting the parents and kids working together,” Ms Imlach said.
School holiday programs will continue at LINCs across Tasmania throughout the week.
