Swim lane hire on agenda again: Lane hire charges at the Launceston Leisure and Aquatic Centre is back on the City of Launceston agenda for its Monday council meeting. The council will consider changes to the fee structure after a request was put forward by the Launceston Aquatic Club regarding a reduction in off peak lane hire and a change in off peak timings.

Governor reunited with ex-Governor’s car: The National Automobile Museum of Tasmania welcomed a special visitor on Sunday as Governor Kate Warner dropped by to inspect an important museum piece  – a former governor’s vehicle. On loan from Government House, the 1968 Daimler DS420 has been displayed alongside a 1927 Stutz AA8 as part of the museum’s Motoring in Tasmania display, which finished up on Sunday.
