Chair of the organisation Jane Teniswood said the event had been in the works for several years.
“It’s been amazingly successful in the last few days and it’s created great excitement in Launceston and most of the stall holders are already trying to book to come back next year,” she said.
There was plenty on offer for garden enthusiasts, from a large scale trade show at the Albert Hall, to an impressive line up of experts taking part in the speaker program.
The festival also featured an East meets West practical workshop to discuss gardening skills, technique and opinions of three highly experienced horticulturists.
