Their 500-word creations range from memoirs to narrative storytelling, and are set to be published in a book to feature at the George Town LINC later this year.
Ms Smith said the free group had already generated 12 members, with meetings each fortnight at the LINC on a Thursday from 1pm.
“The first thing we like to do is read the stories we’ve written and people can write whatever they like to suit a topic and it’s many varied stories,” she said.
She said one example was the word ‘survivor’ could be used in abstract storytelling.
“Any phrase we use can be taken in any context, it could be first-person or crime.”
