Eagles committee member Michael Rigby said the function would take place at the Evandale Memorial Hall on October 1, from 7.30pm for an 8am start.
Hawkins, 56, played a then club-record 329 matches with the Dogs before his contract was not renewed by coach Mick Malthouse, forcing him to Fitzroy where he run out in the Lions jumper on 21 occasions in 1995.
He is a Bulldogs and AFL hall of famer, Footscray team of the century vice-captain and a five-time Victorian representative.
Rigby said there would be a sports memorabilia auction and plenty of fun to be had in the lead up to the big dance at the MCG.
Tickets cost $50 per person or $550 per tables of 12.
