Saturday mornings most people sleep in, but not those who buy fresh produce and enjoy community. The early morning Harvest Market gathers people to enjoy a coffee and brownie with friends and family. Located at 71 Cimitiere Street, the market starts at 8.30am and and the 40 weekly stalls brings together the crowds. Some return weekly where others return periodically.

“My wife and I sell our flowers here ten weeks a year,” John Short from Southern Flowers said.
“I’ve been coming here since it started,” Ernie from Mowbray said.
During the four-and-a-half years the farmers’ market has been running, it’s gathered a loyal following, getting bigger every year. The locals love it.
The Harvest Market is completely non-profit, and relies on volunteers. Anyone can become a volunteer - you just give up a few hours of your Saturday morning to greet people and help sellers set up and pack up.
The Harvest Market was awarded the 2013 Australia’s Most Outstanding Farmers Market.
