The second day of the Kayak4Play North Esk Paddle Fest saw competitors facing off in a ‘BoaterCross’ race, so named for its likeness to motorcross where competitors race it out against each other over a set course.

After a wild night's rain, the river was another 15 centimetres higher, and the day started off with a group recreational paddle before lining up for the final event.
Rohan Borojević took out the BoaterCross event with a convincing lead, defending his title as reigning champion of the Kayak4Play North Esk Paddle Fest. Coming in second was Jonathan Davis, with David Borojević taking out third place.
Event organisers thanked Kayak4Play, Macpac, Tamar Canoe Club, the Scout Association and local landowners for their support of the event.
