The five-year-old sprinted home quickly to beat Shanghai Knight and Wrongly Accused – but it was a week too late as far as driver Ricky Duggan was concerned.
If Angela De Marco had won in Hobart seven days earlier it would have given Duggan six wins for the meeting which would have equalled his career best tally.
“If she had sprinted as well last week as she did tonight she would have won,” the driver said.
“She’s not a tough mare but, if she can be held up, she can dash home pretty quickly.
“She can really cut loose for 300 or 400 metres.”
