On Saturday the museum will have cars on display including the iconic Monaro from the Tasman Bridge disaster.
The weekend attracts about 3000 people and more than 300 cars in the car park.
“On Sunday we would like to encourage [the community] to bring their car or motorcycle down here and we’ll have space for them to assemble,” museum manager Phil Costello said.
“There’s been close to 1000 exhibits go through here over 20 years.
“It’s great, it gives people an opportunity who wouldn’t normally have an interest to come in.”
This year marks the 40th anniversary of Peter and Phil Brock’s third place finish at Bathurst in 1976. The weekend is the last opportunity to see their Mobil Racing VN Commodore.
A magazine of the history of the museum will be distributed. Admission is free both days.
