The squad will form the basis for the 2017 Netball World Youth Cup team, which takes place in Botswana in July next year.
A former Cavaliers player, Rainbow represented Tasmania in the 21 and under state team at the National Championships in Launceston this year.
“I’m so excited to be part of the squad and I’m looking forward to the opportunities on where this squad could lead to. I want to go as far as I can in netball,” she said. “I want to say thank you to Netball Tasmania, especially Julie Hoornweg and to Tasmania for all of the support. I’m really grateful for the support shown.”
