The iconic band will join James Reyne, Daryl Braithwaite, Shannon Noll, Dragon and Pseudo Echo for what is sure to be a big show.

Icehouse front man Iva Davies said it was just a few years ago that he played in Launceston and he was excited to return. 

With a career that spans four decades, Davies said it was still exciting, and always unexpected, to hear crowds of multiple generations singing his own lyrics back to him on stage. 

“I’m famously nervous, I always have a lot of fear as well as excitement that goes into these shows,” he said. 

“It’s really wonderful to see the crowd’s reactions and it’s nice to think that these songs have travelled a long way and for a long time.

“We now have another generation of fans who know our music.” 

Davies said crowds should expect a great show with such a well-known, talented and much-loved line-up taking to the stage. 

“The artists who are on this tour are people I have great respect for and it’s going to be a lot of fun,” he said. 

“When you’ve got that much experience in one place it’s great because you get to share stories and it’s always great fun.” 

Following a string of successful records, Icehouse took a 15-year break from the industry but made their return in 2011.

The tour will head to the Country Club in Launceston on Saturday, February 18, 2017.
