Pets Now Boarding veterinary nurse Ashlee Dunne said the low-impact technology was being used extensively in the US and the United Kingdom and could be used to treat pet problems ranging from arthritis to heart conditions.
“We've noticed that there's a lot of pets coming through our services that could really benefit from something like this,” Mrs Dunne said.
“It's something that a lot of people are aware of but don't have access to, especially in the North of the state - we will be the first ones to have the underwater treadmill.”
