The Ulverstone boat business holds its annual boat show on site at Eastlands Drive on the weekend of August 13-14 and Deegan Marine owner Hadley Deegan said that he strives to create an event that will educate, entertain and inspire Tasmanians to go boating.

“Our boat show is an opportunity to showcase any new models, equipment and the latest marine accessories,” he said.

“This time of year provides an opportunity to order or purchase a new boat and be ready for the coming summer and avoid disappointment.

“We have terrific support from all our major suppliers and manufacturers who will be in attendance. This helps provide a wealth of experience and knowledge across all our products and the opportunity to speak directly with a manufacturers representative.”

With assistance from its suppliers and partners Deegan Marine is able to provide sensational deals storewide, including new boat packages, outboard motors, Seadoo PWCs and an extensive range of marine accessories.

It also has the local Tackleworld store in attendance with some great show deals on fishing gear plus great advice.

For those who intend on diving, the crew from Canoe ‘n’ Surf will also have some great tips and they will also have a range of diving equipment for sale and on display.

“Our fishing simulator proved very popular last year so this is back and to add to the entertainment this year we are having a trailer backing competition,” Mr Deegan said.

“So for all the ladies who do a better job than their men we encourage you to take up the challenge and get your name on the leaderboard.

“We will also have Tasmania’s swordfish guru Leo Miller providing an interesting insight into this emerging new fishery.”

The Deegan Marine Boat Show is open on Saturday, August 13 from 9am-4pm and on Sunday, August 14, 10am-3pm. There is a lucky gate price and hourly prize wheel throughout each day.
