The reigning five-time premiers led by 13 points at quarter time on a heavy ground with windy conditions and extended that to 23 points at the half-time break.
But St Pats dominated the second half kicking away to a 51-point advantage at three-quarter time before going on to win 15.14 (104) to 5.5 (35).
“It was quite close early on but after the second quarter we worked away from them – great link-up football and our pressure was enormous and we ran away with the game,” St Pats coach Laine Cleaver said.
“It’s a unique situation because you always have a big turnover of kids in school football so to be able to produce the good in the last six years despite the turnover of boys has been fantastic.
“We’ve developed a winning culture of football here and boys want to be part of that.”
Dylan Jones was best on ground for St Pats at centre half-forward with five goals with Cameron Johns, Luke Tucker, Connor Pearton and Connor Smith other good players.
Scotch Oakburn captain Jock White led the way for his side with Lochie Dakin, Lochie Edmunds, Jack Hunt and Harry Scott other good players. “St Pats were too good on the day and credit to them - but the sad thing for us was we didn’t get enough out of our players today and some were down for the biggest game of the year,” Scotch coach Rob Soward said.
