About 611 runners and walkers aged one through to 75 will line up in the three distances over 10km, 5km and 2km at the Derwent Entertainment Centre.
“It’s going to be a great turn out on Sunday and good on people for heading out in the middle of winter to remain active,” race director Tony Sansom said.
The annual event is a major fundraiser for the Northern Suburbs Athletic Club and has steadily experienced greater participation in recent years with 60 per cent of the entries this year being women.
“This event is really aimed at families. It’s a low cost event in the middle of winter, with a distance on offer for all energy levels,” Sansom added.
Online registrations are closed but entries will be taken until 9:30am on race morning. The 2km race starts at 9.45am, the 5km and 10km at 10am.
