Hawthorn announced on Friday morning that the derby clash was officially a sell-out.
It said both general admission and reserved seating had been exhausted and no further tickets would be released. There will be no ticket sales available at the gate.
“The club would like to thank our Tasmanian members and supporters for their ongoing support and making the last game of the year in Tasmania one to remember,” said a club statement.
Clarkson said his friendship with Bolton would be put on hold for the day.
“As good a mates as you might be you don’t normally converse too much in the week before a game. We’ll probably renew our friendship next week,” he said.
“I’m not really interested in the excitement and romance of comparing coaches and all that sort of stuff, he’s got a job to do at Carlton and I’ve got a job to do at Hawthorn.
“We need to play well [because] they’ve been particularly good over the last couple of weeks against West Coast and Sydney.”
