And they need your help.
On Wednesday, 15 students joined The Youth Network, a pilot program created by The Examiner.
The program will teach them how to create content that explores the challenges facing youth and how we are overcoming them.
The students will learn the skills to get their story heard in the digital world, experience that will be relevant to future employers. They will also produce their own 36-page newspaper.
So how can you help? We want to meet the people, groups and businesses that are creating positive results for youth.
Nominate yourself, family, friends or others in our community by contacting Gavin Stone on gstone@fairfaxmedia.com.au and the students will pick the stories that need to be heard.
The content created by these students is the first step in creating a nationwide youth network across Fairfax Media’s regional sites.
