Variety Tasmania State Manager Luke Doyle said the bus will be a gift that keeps on giving, “The beauty of this type of equipment is the cumulative impact that it’s going to have. It's not just going to affect the 53 students in New Horizons Club this year, for the the life of the coach it will be hundreds of children that benefit from this equipment.”
The bus will help young members and children to fully and actively connect with the community around them.
“I don't know how many times things have come up and the kids have wanted to do them but transports been an issues so being able to have this Variety bus will mean everyone gets an opportunity to participate in sport and recreation,” said New Horizons Manager, Belinda Kitto.
Variety Tasmania held a year long appeal to raise funds for the bus, which was donated on Tuesday.
