The inaugural women's captain will be former state under-19 cricketer Natalie Curbishley who comes from a strong cricketing family background.
The TCL women’s competition is available to all clubs and the 2016-17 foster should start in late November.
Any interested players are asked to contact Ashley Holloway on 0450101989 or email longford.cricket@hotmail.com as training will start soon.
“Club coach Josh Adams will oversee all grades including the women's team and we appointed life member and club champion Ashley Holloway as teams operation manager,” Longford president Phil Dodd said.
“Natalie is a great appointment for the club with someone that has had experience at state level to lead this group forward.”
