“The idea of the day is to raise awareness and for people who have never experienced the thrill of accelerating to 200kph plus in such a short distance in a safe environment with their street car or daily driver,” Tas Dragway promoter Tim Parremore said.
“We have secured a new long-term naming rights sponsor in LAFM and this is a big help in moving the facility and the sport forward as we always require more support and sponsorship. We receive no government support to help maintain or run the facility which we pay a lease for to a private owner that uses up most of our season financial incomings.”
