Reality talent show winner and chart-topper Reece Mastin will share top billing with the likes of Sam Mitchell, Luke Hodge and Grant Birchall as the Hawks find plenty to celebrate at their home from home.
The club is celebrating a 15-year involvement in Tasmania and is only too happy to acknowledge Aurora Stadium where it has won 25 of the last 26.
To mark the occasion, fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 1.20pm when Mastin is scheduled to perform a pre-game concert to be accompanied by a fireworks show and giant guernsey unveiling.
Fifty minutes later the Melbourne rivals will lock horns with more than just four premiership points up for grabs.
The teams will play for the David Parkin Medal, named in honour of the former Blues coach and Hawks great, which will be awarded to the player judged best on ground.
Ben McEvoy will play his 50th game for Hawthorn in the contest.
A number-nine draft selection in 2007, he was traded by St Kilda for Shane Savage and Luke Dunstan in 2013 and has since played in two premiership sides.
The 200-centimetre, 102-kilogram ruckman, who turned 27 earlier this month, also played 91 games for St Kilda between 2008-13, kicking 27 goals.
The Hawks will warm up for the contest by embracing the round-ball football code.
The three-time premiers are due to host players from English Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur at Waverley Park on Wednesday.
Sam Mitchell, James Frawley, Liam Shiels, Matt Spangher and several Spurs’ players will undertake a series of skills challenges relating to each code. Tottenham are in Melbourne along with Juventus and Atletico Madrid for the International Champions Cup.
