Northern Tasmania has excelled in the 2016 Tasmanian Telstra Business Awards, with three local businesses picking up four awards.

Following a string of recent successes the Bridestowe Lavender Farm took out the Business Award and Small Business Award. Electrical and renewable energy business, Mode Electrical, were recognised with the Micro Business Award for their innovations; and Cataract on Paterson won the New Business Award for their contemporary dining experience.
The businesses will now go on to represent Tasmania in the national Telstra Business Awards in Sydney.
Mode Electrical Owner and Director, Martin Dingemanse, said he was humbled to receive the award, “It gives us an opportunity to… share about renewable energy in Tasmania and the future of renewable energy and how exciting it is.”
Bridestowe Estate Managing Director, Robert Ravens, said he was surprised, “Running it’s been an amazing journey, from a business that was threatened with closure to a business that is a huge success.”
