Bowden polled two votes to take an unassailable lead ahead of North Launceston rival Taylor Whitford.
He played second fiddle to teammate Ben Reynolds, who earned three votes in the head-to-head encounter at Aurora Stadium against the Northern Bombers on Saturday.
Bomber Jay Lockhart polled the remaining one vote in his side’s 10.6 (66) to 9.8 (62) defeat to the Magpies.
Bowden, the 2014 award winner, had entered the game holding a decisive 11-vote lead with four matches left in the home-and-away TSL season.
He has now captured 33 votes to win the award for the second time in a battle between the two best players of the past three years.
Reigning award winner Whitford sits on 20 votes after the weekend from Devonport’s Dylan Riley with 14.
Launceston’s Jake Hinds polled three votes and Jay Blackberry one in the Blues two-point win over Tigers.
