In a performance that is reflecting the club’s sagging season – that has included three losses in the last four games – the Thunder trailed at every change and were never in the game.
The Geelong quarter-time lead went from 10 to 16 points within the first minute of the second quarter before the home side did stem the bleeding to keep the score to 46-33 at the break.
But that was as close as the Thunder came.
The Supercats ran a clinic in the final quarter, scoring 31-14 in front of disappointed Ulverstone home fans.
But among the dark clouds of the uncompetitive loss, American forward Gary Johnson shined brightly.
Taking up the slack of missing import Garrett Jackson, Johnson scored a game-high 26 points and team-high 13 rebounds.
