I wonder if the relatives of tens of thousands of dead civilians killed over the past 13 years would agree?

LIKE Walter Christy (The Examiner, July 10), I too had difficulty installing the free edition of Windows 10. It took quite a while to download, and in the process appeared to delete some of the history and information I had on my computer. While searching here and there, I stumbled on a link that said “Restore Windows 8.1”. Trouble is, some of the email details are no longer on the PC, and, be patient. It takes a very long time. I guess the lesson to be learnt, is to have a computer store, or expert, download Windows 10 if you really want it.

AUTHOR and avid letter writer Malcolm Scott said inspiration for his letters to the editor come suddenly and are written and posted in 15 minutes (The Examiner, July 14). Ditto. As a long-term homeless person, I’d like to thank Mr Scott for donating all proceeds from his latest book Letters from a Thylacine to The Examiner’s Winter Relief Appeal. As a recipient of Mr Scott’s generosity, I find it interesting that we share a similar approach to writing our letters to the editor - “read and respond”. I, (as I’m sure Mr Scott does) find it very therapeutic.
