Young people from the Australian Youth Climate Coalition will be supported by the NRM North, as new trees are sprouted at the Windsor Precinct on July 31.
NRM North regional landcare facilitator said the events connected local parks and reserves to the community.
“By planting local native plants it increases biodiversity values in our urban areas and most importantly it gets people outside and active in the great outdoors,” she said.
On August 10 and 11, another session will take place at the Windsor Park Soccer Grounds with support from the Riverside Soccer Club, Fifteen Trees and the West Tamar Council.
