Scottsdale LINC customer service officer Sharon Sachse said jewellery makers learned a variety of beading skills, including celtic swirls and spirals, and bead weaving with 3D patterns.
“The biggest thing that came out of the group was the cohesion and mental health stimulation for the women who have now met new friends,” she said.
“Their last session was how to market their stuff and promote it if they want to do a stall.”
She said half a dozen people had already expressed interest in a follow-up course, to run between September to October.
