Coordinator Katy Pakinga said she was overwhelmed by the turnout at Sunday’s event, with bargain hunters lined up at the door when the market opened.
“This is my second pop-up market in Launceston and it was unbelievable,” she said.
“We had over 40 stallholders and it just went above and beyond expectations.”
Ms Pakinga said the market was a great way to give back to the community.
“It’s a free event for everyone to come along to and enjoy and any money donated on the day goes to charity,” she said.
“We received a stack of clothes for our chosen organisation Toosey Auxiliary Op Shop in Longford who will give the profits to the Toosey Aged Care Facility.”
Ms Pakinga said the market would be “popping up” again within the next two months.
“We’re open to pop up anywhere along the North of the state so we welcome suggestions,” she said.
