Mr Johnston, who also holds the position of TFGA president, was re-elected unopposed, while Devonport farmer Matthew Ryan was elected vice-chairman.
Mr Ryan was appointed to the TFGA Board in 2012. He grows a variety of vegetables, and pyrethrum and poppies; and manages a successful cartage business on the North-West Coast. He was an organising member of the Tasmanian Fair Dinkum Food Campaign in 2005.
Mr Johnston also announced the appointment of Gregoria Taylor, of Nile, to the board. The AGM was held last week at the conference.
