President Peter Davidson said the club had been donating to Tasmanian charities for the past 70 years.
“The money is raised by members, past and present, and the club donates regularly,” he said.
Secretary Maurice Duff said the winter appeal was one of three charities the club had selected this year.
“We have allocated funds to Legacy, Royal Guide Dogs and the Winter Relief,” he said.
Funds raised through the Examiner’s Winter Relief Appeal are donated to St Vincent de Paul Society, the Launceston Benevolent Society, the Salvation Army and the Launceston City Mission.
