Bain started his playing career at Beauty Point (169 games) before playing a season at Hillwood in 1989 and returning to the newly formed Tamar Cats in Division 1. He played 112 games with the Cats, which included the 1993 senior premiership against George Town.
Off field, Bain has held various positions on the committee from treasurer to bar manager and spent countless hours getting the players game numbers back in order and up to date.
“Having someone like ‘Bainy’ on the committee is invaluable as no job you ask him to do is too big or too small and is always having a joke along the way,” president Red Phillips said.
“Having Bainy as my right hand man makes my job a lot easier. Everyone at the club would like to thank Ross for his continued dedication.”
Bain is this week’s NTFA Mystate Volunteer of the Week.
