A 27-year-old man was arrested following a multi-hour standoff with police.
Police have alleged the Mowbray man set fire to his home before climbing onto the roof armed with a knife.
They have also alleged he was on drugs at the time.
Also of concern to police however, is the use of a drone during the operation.
Members of Tasmania Police’s Special Operations Group were called to the scene, but their negotiation efforts were interrupted by the drone and police would like to speak to the owner of the device.
“(The owner) may have some video footage that we would find useful,” Tasmania Police Inspector Michael Johnston said.
“Operating a drone in an area like that compromises our operations and it’s my understanding that it would be a breach of civil aviation guidelines. It draws the attention of the person away from our negotiators.”
The 27-year-old Mowbray man was not cooperating with police on Tuesday morning, Inspector Johnston said.
He was yet to be charged on Tuesday afternoon.
A 35-year-old Invermay man and a 23-year-old Youngtown woman were also arrested and charged following the siege.
The man was charged with disorderly conduct.
The woman was charged with disorderly conduct and failing to comply with the direction of a police officer.
Both were granted police bail to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court on August 3.
