The association, which has more than 200 members, donates every year to the Winter Relief Appeal from funds raised through events and member donations.
LGH Ex-Trainees Association secretary, Zoe Johns, said they want to benefit the local community with their donation.
“We’ve got a great city here in Launceston, I think that we should support the people that live in it,” said Johns.
The Examiner’s Winter Relief Appeal directly help people in crisis. Funds are split between the St Vincent de Paul Society, the Launceston Benevolent Society, the Salvation Army and the Launceston City Mission.
