The organisation will donate all profits from this Thursday’s performance of Dusty: The Original Pop Diva to the The Examiner and B&E Emergency Flood Appeal.
Production Manager Jo Stirling said the musical society had always had great support from locals and donating to the appeal was a chance to give back.
“We’re a community organisation and we do rely on the community to help us out,” she said.
“So this is our way of helping them.”
Money raised through the appeal will be donated to St Vincents de Paul, Rural Alive and Well, Salvation Army, The City Mission and the Benevolent Society.
Each community group will use the funds to directly assist those who have been affected by the state’s worst flood since 1929.
Donations can be made at any B&E branch or electronically.
