A CORONIAL inquest into the murder-suicide deaths of Jill and John Evans will be held in Launceston Magistrates Court on Friday.

Mr Evans took his own life shortly after killing his wife with a gun at Riverside in September 2013.
The couple, aged 62, were found by police inside their Orana Place home.
Mr Evans called triple-0 informing police he had killed his wife with a gun.
The gun was unregistered, police said at the time.
Police have been unable to identify a clear motive for the killing.
The coronial inquest will be held to determine circumstances around the incident.
The Justice Department confirmed the inquest will hear evidence from three witnesses – the investigating police officer, a general practitioner and a psychiatrist.
The names of the witnesses have not been released.
